SMS Messaging & Opt-In
Seatd uses transactional SMS messages to provide reservation and waitlist updates to guests who voluntarily opt in. SMS consent is optional and is not required to make a reservation.
How guests opt in
- 1. A guest enters their mobile phone number during the Seatd booking or waitlist process.
- 2. The guest is presented with a separate SMS consent checkbox.
- 3. The checkbox is unchecked by default.
- 4. The guest must actively select the checkbox to opt in.
- 5. Guests may continue without selecting the checkbox.
